As the main contractor for this high-end residential project, ACT was responsible for carrying out extensive structural modifications. Initially, only minor roofing work was planned, but our investigations revealed severe deterioration, requiring a full roof replacement. This unexpected challenge allowed us to enhance the property with premium materials and modern features, ensuring long-term durability, sustainability and aesthetic appeal.

ACT transforms underutilised spaces beneath homes into functional, beautifully designed areas. In a sizeable and complex residential basement construction project in the heart of Chelsea, our team and trusted supply chain successfully navigated multiple challenges to deliver the project on-schedule and to exact specification. 
 
This site required multiple interventions, from temporarily supporting the property off its foundations to drawing out the equivalent of ten Olympic swimming pools of water to enable the basement excavation and construction works to take place safely.

Proactive problem-solving is essential to successfully navigate the structural and sequencing challenges that custom stone staircases often present. Mid-way through a renovation project in South Kensington, our client requested a cantilevered limestone staircase. This required significant modifications to the surrounding spine walls in order to make this feature possible, together with extensive engineering, stone strength testing and a clever steel pocketing design to mitigate the requirement for thicker walls.

From industry recognition and fantastic site scores, to welcoming new colleagues and coming together for our Christmas party, November gave us plenty to celebrate!

ACT has secured a prestigious RoSPA Gold Award for Health and Safety excellence. This achievement highlights our culture of care and strong commitment to creating the safest working environments.

October was a month built on care: for our communities, our colleagues and our craft. From supporting Londoners in need, to enhancing on-site safety with new digital tools and putting the finishing touches to our new office space designed around our people, progress at ACT in October meant showing how we look after one another.

September brought ACT’s ‘can do’ spirit to life: from team growth and career milestones to exciting progress on site and setting out our vision for next year. Last month showed how taking initiative, supporting one another and celebrating success drives progress for all of us. Here’s how we put ‘can do’ into action in September.

Teamwork was on display at every level in August: keeping projects moving forward during the holiday season, welcoming in new talent and showcasing our team spirit at ACT’s first ever Sports Day!

July saw ACT celebrate a RoSPA Gold Award, deliver standout site progress and prepare for exciting times ahead!

May was all about celebrating small habits with a big impact - on site, on foot and in how we support one another. From reaching project milestones to raising funds through running and walking challenges, #TeamACT showed what consistency and collaboration can achieve.

June gave us a fantastic opportunity to live out two of ACT’s core values: passion and teamwork. From hosting our annual Golf Day to completing a 21-day running challenge, we channelled our energy into staying active while raising vital funds for a great cause.

April marked the start of a new quarter and set the tone for ACT’s continued growth. Our strategic focus was on refining the customer journey, keeping clients at the heart of everything we do.
